Map exhibits for the museum feature the 1800 & 1900's. These early maps feature North America, the United States, Texas and the  surrounding states of Louisiana, Oklahoma Arkansas & New Mexico.

Most maps and Documents in the museum collection are original. Historic maps are

difficult  to find and expensive. The museum staff can provide information of how to

acquire reproduction copies.

Not on public display is an extensive collection of documents and books in the fields of Engineering, Surveying, Texas & American History. These records may be viewed by advance request only. Among these documents are some of the W. & L.E. Gurley family records (the surveying manufacturing Company members).  Available literature has been inventoried and

is available by advance and pre-approved request.

The Engineering Book Library from Johnny Ingram's Civil Engineering education and career will become part of the museum collection at a later date. Check the status if interested.
